Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC.
